CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATE SCORE CARD
We asked all the candidates to answer a survey and examined their public records. On Nov. 5, we urge you to vote for those who will fight to protect tenants, solve homelessness, raise the minimum wage, fight climate change, and boost public transit. Simply put — those who will fight for all of us! (To see the verbatim candidate responses, click link at bottom of this page.)
District 2 Race: Rank Wes Pelletier #1.
District 2 | HOUSING | CLIMATE | TRANSPORT | HEALTH/ WELFARE | WORKERS’ WAGES | DEMOCRACY |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Wes Pelletier (ENDORSED) Rank #1 | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Atiim Boykin (Rank #2) | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Nancy English (Rank #3) | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Catherine Nekoie (Rank #4) | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Wes has long been a warrior for tenants, the working class, and the marginalized of our city. We need his voice on the council. In fact, we encourage you to volunteer on his campaign by going to https://wesfordistrict2.net/. Rank Atiim Boykin #2. Nancy English #3, and Catherine Nekoie #4. Leave Robert O’Brien off your ballot (see below).
At Large: Rank either Jess or Grayson #1 and #2. Leave all others off.
At Large | HOUSING | CLIMATE | TRANSPORT | HEALTH/ WELFARE | WORKERS’ WAGES | DEMOCRACY |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Jess Falero (Rank 1 or 2) | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Grayson Lookner (Rank 1 or 2) | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Both Jess and Grayson have proven credentials fighting for the working class, the environment, and tenants. And both scored 100% on our survey. Leave Ben Grant, Brandon Mazer, and Jacob Viola off your ballot because they refused our questionnaire (see below).
District 1 Race: Rank Todd Morse #1.
District 1 | HOUSING | CLIMATE | TRANSPORT | HEALTH/ WELFARE | WORKERS’ WAGES | DEMOCRACY |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
R. Todd Morse (Rank #1) | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Sarah Michniewicz (Rank #2) | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
Todd is on the right side of most issues and is clearly a better choice than Sarah Michniewicz, who has long been antagonistic towards Portland’s unhoused community.
NOT WORTHY OF YOUR VOTE! Unfortunately, the candidates listed below refused to answer our questions about protecting tenants, fighting climate change, and raising worker wages. We encourage you to leave their names entirely off your ballot.
Benjamin Grant (At Large)
Brandon Mazer (At Large)
Jacob Viola (At Large)
Robert O’Brien (District 2)
